that defied all odds
As proud Indonesians, we're on a mission to bring the bold flavors of our homeland to Singapore.
Pre-indorica
Our journey started in 2009 with a small Indonesian café in Midpoint Mall, Somerset, which we sold the next year. Later, in 2019, we decided to open My Home Cafe in Yishun. However, our grand opening coincided with the first Circuit Breaker/Lockdown, which forced us to release all our 13 staff due to financial constraints. Pak Bos single-handedly managed the café for six months, taking care of everything from cooking to cleaning.
Despite the challenges, we persevered, and our food received positive reviews from almost 95% of our diners. Most of our customers came to us by word of mouth, which speaks to the quality of our food and service.
In 2020, we got an opportunity to move back to Somerset. Our regular customers showered us with overwhelming support and bid us farewell in Yishun on our last day of operation. It was a super busy day, we hit one of the highest sales. We sold out everything to the point that we needed to buy white rice outside for our last few customers and they didn't mind. At the end of the day, we took photos with our regular customers. Our tables were super messy but our hearts were full!
It was a bittersweet moment to take down the chalkboard that displayed our customers' wonderful reviews.

We have rebranded ourselves as indorica and are fully dedicated to serving unique and authentic Indonesian cuisine.
Our passion is to introduce you to the lesser-known specialties of Indonesian cuisine, which are not commonly found in Singapore. Our menu boasts a variety of options, from hearty bowls of Soto Tangkar Betawi to savory plates of Nasi Ayam Bumbu RW that will tantalize your taste buds and give you a true taste of Indonesia.
